PAPER MASKING TAPE - HIGH TEMPERATURE

Previous 7 / 15 Next

PAPER MASKING TAPE - HIGH TEMPERATURE

High temperature paper masking tape is a specialized pressure-sensitive adhesive tape engineered to withstand elevated heat conditions during industrial processes such as powder coating, automotive refinishing, electrostatic painting, anodizing, and oven curing. It is constructed from a heat-resistant crepe or flatback paper backing combined with a high-performance silicone or thermally stable acrylic adhesive that resists degradation, adhesive transfer, and edge lifting even when subjected to sustained high temperatures.

Standard widths : 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 50, 72, 96 mm
Standard roll lengths : 18m, 25m, 50m per roll

Key Performance

  • No adhesive residue — silicone and high-temp acrylic adhesives release cleanly after heat cycling
  • Edge integrity — maintains tight seal at tape edges throughout curing cycle; prevents paint bleed
  • Dimensional stability — backing does not shrink, wrinkle, or bubble under heat
  • Solvent resistance — withstands primers, paints, thinners, and coating chemicals
  • Sharp paint lines — firm edge contact produces crisp, clean masking lines
  • Hand-tearable — no tools needed; fast application on production lines
  • Conformable — crepe grades wrap around edges, curves, and complex geometries
  • Consistent tack — adhesive maintains grip before, during, and after heat exposure
  • No discoloration — backing does not brown, char, or transfer color to coated surface

Common Applications

Industry Application
Automotive & Body Shop Panel and trim masking during baking and oven drying cycles
Powder Coating Masking threads, holes, and precision surfaces before coating booth and curing oven
Industrial Painting Electrostatic spray masking; protecting machined surfaces
Anodizing & Plating Protecting non-anodized areas from chemical bath exposure
Electronics Manufacturing PCB masking during wave soldering and reflow oven processes
Aerospace High-spec surface masking during priming and coating operations
Metal Fabrication Protecting finished surfaces during welding and grinding operations
Appliance Manufacturing Masking during powder coat and baked enamel finishing
Glass & Ceramics Kiln and oven masking for partial coating or etching processes
